A little about me

My name is Kat Hare, and yes, it’s pronounced “cat hair”, as in feline dander. Thanks mum and dad.

I’m an ADF veteran who writes about everyday moments, helping me me critically reflect on military service to understand who I've become. These take form in several genres ranging from creative non-fiction to speculative fiction, and occasionally are just a rant.

Between second breakfast and dessert, I write with the same gusto—which includes convo starters, infographics, awards for awesomeness and other pockets of delight that inspire good community,​ plus a weekly​ newsletter that endeavours to decode post-service life—while I work towards my PhD and run a writing and publishing agency called Emereas.
